Vietnam Embassy New Delhi hosted an event to introduce PHU QUOC, the paradise island in KIEN GIANG province to travel trade and key industrialists from IICC, Indian Importers Chamber of Commerce. The event created interest for delegates to know more about destinations. Even some of the investors expressed interest in business startup.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Pham Sanh Chau, Ambassador-Vietnam Embassy, New Delhi shared " Phu Quoc is ready to welcome Indian tourists. Last year a few Indian tourists have visited the destination, and the response has been overwhelming. Moreover this year, one Indian wedding has been confirmed at Phu Quoc. So, it's a start for letting Indian tourists know there is something which is new and close to nature. The destination is unexplored. And we are ready to welcome Indian Weddings and honeymooners looking out for something refreshing"
"Travel Fraternity is looking forward to Phu Quoc as an addition to their selling product range, which is going to generate new visitors to the destination. We have been receiving a lot of requests from regular travelers to offer destinations like Phu Quoc and we are sure the gap shall be filled soon. Discussing about the flight connections, Vietjet, which is a low-cost airline, shall be commencing direct flights to Vietnam very soon. This shall also help to get low airfares to the destination, which is a major challenge as on date." quoted Mr. Sanjay Narula- Vice President Travel Agents Association of India.
