Manipur Tourism has been conferred the Global MICE Congress and Awards in Mumbai. The award ceremony was held at the Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai from 12-13, Feb 2019.

 Shri W. Ibohal Singh (Director), Tourism, Government of Manipur received the award at the event attended by global stalwarts in the tourism industry. Representatives of International Tourism Boards from across the world exchanged ideas and business at the two event in the city. 

 Manipur Tourism has been at the forefront in organising and promoting MICE activities through its events and business summits. Starting from 2016, Manipur Tourism has been organising events like tourism marts and business summits as part of its annual Manipur Sangai Festival.

While speaking to Mice Affairs, Mr. Ibohal quoted "Its a proud moment for us, being recognized for MICE & Tourism. We are looking at promoting Manipur as MICE Destination. We welcome Corporates, Associations and Travel Planners to consider Manipur for their MICE projects. We are ready to welcome their queries and supply enough information for successful planning"
