Council of Indian
Exhibition Organisers (CIEO), the only organiser centric council in India, has
been actively and aggressively persuading, opening of NESCO halls for
exhibitions in Mumbai, with the MCGM officials. Every sincere attempt to
provide relevant data, information and updates to the authorities was made by
CIEO to
impress upon them the
importance of exhibitions to the State and the Country.
On April 19th 2022, Shri Suresh Kakani, Addl. Municipal Commissioner (Western Subs.) made an official announcement that NESCO halls will be released for Exhibitions. As per the latest update the dismantling work at NESCO has started and will be completed in 2 – 3 days and shifting of medical equipment’s will take another month
Being one of the major
exhibition venues of the city, opening of NESCO halls will not only be a
blessing to the exhibition industry but will also boost all the ancillary
industries related to exhibitions.
NESCO also has played
a major role to the success by offering complete financial aid to MCGM for
dismantling of halls to expedite the process so that the halls can be made
available for exhibitions at the earliest. CIEO would like to thank its
valued members for their trust and support and especially NESCO & GJEPC for
their unconditional support and cooperation extended to make this
happen.
Hefty Fire Scrutiny fees being levied on the
exhibitions
As per the latest
update from the office for Shri Hemant Parab - Chief Fire Officer - Fire
Brigade, the meeting on the Fire Scrutiny fee structure was scheduled on
06/05/2022 and the new guidelines for the same is expected in a week. CIEO
is following up with the concerned department and will keep the members posted
about the same.
