The Thai government has pushed the country to meet its greenhouse gas reduction goal by aiming for a 40% decrease in carbon emissions by 2030.
The government has been making changes to the energy system to limit the use of fossil fuels and increase the use of renewable energy.
In order to promote the energy transition trend, the government also intends to restructure the way fuel energy is used in various power plants.
This involves promoting the use of environmentally friendly energy in all sectors to improve energy efficiency through technology and innovation, while encouraging people to drive electric vehicles (EV). Furthermore, by 2030, the government intends to produce 30% of all zero-carbon vehicles from total production capacity.
There will also be measures in place to encourage and attract investment in the electric vehicle industry. The goal is to create an infrastructure that will allow electric vehicles to thrive. Moreover, public fast charging and battery replacement facilities for electric motorcycles will be increased.
