S. Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO along with S. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva General Secretary FICO met Mr. Erhard Buechel President World Bicycle Industry Association & discussed in detail the scope of High End Bicycle Manufacturing in India, the possibilities for Transfer of Technology for the Manufacturing of high end Bicycles, Alloy Frames Disc Brakes, Saddles & Forks in India were also discussed. The Major concern of Mr. Edhard Buchel President World Bicycle Association was the revival of Bicycle Chain, Spoke, Nipple, Steel balls industry in India & further FICO is in discussion with UNIDO for the high end Technology to improve the productivity of the bicycle Industry as a whole because India is being the 2nd Largest Manufacturer of Bicycles in the world and yet India does not have the High End Technology.

The American & the European Market is the big potential for the high end and high quality bicycles & bicycle parts. There is a need for indigenous Indian manufacturers to pull up their socks and manufacture in accordance to the American & European Standards, and there is a never ending market for India to export Bicycle & Bicycle Parts in over there.

So as far as Europe is concerned we have to develop High End models with Joint Ventures to Upgrade  the quality of bicycles which is the need of the hour said S. Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO
