Interpack was held recently at Dusseldorf – Germany in 18 halls with 2807 Exhibitors from 55 countries and around 143,000 visitors from all over the world. Mr. Om Prakash, Director – InOrbit Tours Pvt Ltd. led the delegation of 118 Exhibitors & Visitors form India, from all the segments of packaging.

More than 2800 companies from all over the world presented latest technologies and trends alongside the entire value chain, highlighting growth opportunities and providing answers to the challenges facing the packaging industry. The entire exhibition was segmented in group of halls for respective technologies, , such as Confectionery, Bakery, Foods, Pharmaceuticals, Snacks, Cereals, Industrial Processing, Packaging, New Materials and Digital Technology.

Pharmaceutical companies needed integrated solutions, which they could find in their designated halls. Around 20% visitors to Interpack are particularly interested in solutions for industrial goods. Hence they could visit their designated halls. More than 30% of the exhibitors were here with all the materials and the end products for packaging. All these made Interpack the largest Trade Fair for packaging materials & technologies in the world.

The organizers of Interpack organized a special event “WOMEN IN PACKAGING” by women for women. An event dedicated to women, supported by Interpack and World Packaging Organization, for a diverse industry, for more young talent and better opportunities. The panel consisted of 6 women experts in packaging representing major companies from across the world. These women shared the secret of their success. Ms. Nerida Kelton, of World Packaging Organization was the moderator.

Messe Dusseldorf Director Interpack Mr. Thomas Dohse personally welcomed Inorbit’s delegation and thanked Mr. Om Prakash for his unparallel efforts and support to Messe Dusseldorf Trade fairs for over 50 years. At a special meeting organised by Indian Institute of Packaging Mr. Vagish Dixit Chairman -IIP in his speech acknowledged Mr. Om Prakash’s contribution in organizing visits for packaging industry experts for more than 50 years. Some senior members even remarked Mr. Om Prakash as “Bishama Pitamah” for his 50 years of contribution.
