A city surrounded by nature, there is no
shortage of unique outdoor group activities across Melbourne and regional
Victoria. To help get you started, we chatted with the Melbourne Convention
Bureau (MCB) and rounded up nine exciting outdoor experiences!
1.Healesville Sanctuary
If you are looking for an authentic
Australian wildlife experience, Zoos Victoria Healesville
Sanctuary is one of the best! Immerse yourself in the stunning bushland
with expert rangers on field to share stories and fun facts about Australia’s
unique and native wildlife like koalas and kangaroos.
Take a fully guided tour of the Sanctuary topped off with VIP seating at the renowned Spirits of the Sky free-flight bird show.
2.Pick fresh fruit at an orchard
Visit an orchard in Yarra Valley or Mornington Peninsula and experience a real working farm or orchard. Pick your own tree-ripened fruit, take a guided tractor tour of a farm, or engage in exciting workshops like fruit bottling, fruit pickling and making fruit jams. Enjoy fresh produce-based meals at cafes and restaurants on the farm. MCB can craft a bespoke itinerary and connect you with the best these regions offer.

waddle back home at sunset before heading to the Underground viewing area for
up-close views of the penguins. The penguin
parade is one of Victoria’s most unique phenomena.
