Dubai Business Events (DBE), part of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the city’s official convention bureau, has launched its inaugural MICE Star Awards (India) programme, specifically designed to recognise and celebrate the outstanding performance of MICE intermediaries in India.

The awards serve as a platform to acknowledge the significant role Indian MICE intermediaries continue to play in solidifying Dubai's position as a leading business events destination. Recognising intermediaries based on their performance during the qualifying period of 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024, the award recipients will be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation process that considers both the volume and value contribution of their business to Dubai’s business events and wider tourism ecosystem.

The launch of the MICE Star Awards (India) underscores DBE"s unwavering commitment to the Indian MICE market, and the close collaborative relationship it has built with intermediaries across the country. In 2023, India solidified its position as the number one source country for overall visitation to Dubai, and the city’s popularity as a business events destination has been driven by a permanent presence in the market, inbound sales missions, study missions bringing intermediaries to Dubai, and participation in major trade shows, among other activities.
